Damn Interesting Inteview with Tiger Woods

Say what you want about Scott Van Pelt, but he's damn good at what he does.

You would never think he was reading off a teleprompter, he's cool and collected when doing highlights and his interviews are similar to what you and I would ask famous sports stars.

This goes for the following 28 minute interview with Tiger Woods.

The highlights of the interview include -

-Tiger calling Steve Williams his best friend.

-Tiger, in no way intending to dog Augusta, saying that behind the 12th green the grass isn't grown in. I love picturing the Augusta jackets rolling over this claim.

-The entire talk about the Champions dinner, one of the most secretive yet intriguing acts in sports.

-Explaining that the first hole at Augusta is so tough, even calling it the toughest first hole he's ever played.

-Saying that Arthur Ashe would be the guy Tiger talked to about philanthropy.

-Explaining that the two toughest places to play are in his group and the group in front. I will attest to this not because I've played in the groups but because I've witnessed the craziness that is people trying to get in position a hole in front to see Tiger when he reaches the tee.

-Scott Van Pelt doing a great job of avoiding any ESPN promotion, even stating during the "Sportscenter" moment that he wasn't trying to self-promote. I thought it was handled very well.

-Stating that he hasn't peaked, which isn't scary at all.

-How it seems that every question is candid, and how passionate Tiger gets when talking about baby Sam.

Good job Scott, I thought it was one of the best Tiger interviews I've ever seen.
