Tiger Woods Picks Family Over Golf

Since all this EscaladeGate hit the sports world fan, the biggest question has always been about what Tiger Woods will become after it all settles. While the dust isn't completely out of the air, it is true that the world is starting to forgive Tiger. A few questions still remain, however, and one of those deals mainly with the relationship between Woods and his actual family.

One of the biggest rumors coming out of all this has been that Elin was upset with Tiger for coming back to the golf so quickly. Tiger's initial press conference made it seem that family was his absolute priority, but not too far after that, Woods was heading back to the game.

For the first time in a while, however, it seems that family is coming first for Woods. While struggling in an Irish Pro-Am (Tiger shot a defeated seven-over par 79 on Monday), Woods announced that he would be flying back to Florida so he could hang with his kids instead of preparing for the British Open that takes place next week at St. Andrews.

Within that sentence it seems there are two possible meanings to that move. First, he might really just be wanting to get the hell home, hang out with the kiddos and relax. The second is much deeper, and only us idiot golfers can understand it. Tiger might just want to get as far away from the game of golf as possible. While he is the favorite heading into this British Open, it seems that his golf game is at an all-time low in terms of consistency.

While others might not understand this, this sentence might be the most truth ever spoken on the New Tiger; Woods might finally began hating golf like the rest of us do on a daily basis. The game isn't supposed to be easy, and as Tiger has seen in the last year with his game, it sure isn't as fun as it used to be.
