British Open Odds (And Who I Like)

Just like I did for the U.S. Open, here are all the odds from Bodog, with the bets I like in bold. Let me know if you agree, disagree or think I'm just a moron.

Tiger Woods -- 5/1 -- I love Tiger to win this, but never at this number. Never ever ever ever at this number. It is a dumb bet, even when he was playing as good as ever.
Phil Mickelson -- 16/1 -- Another I don't love at all. He's only had one top-10 ever at the British, and never seems to get it rolling at St. Andrews. He could come in the hottest golfer in the world, and I still wouldn't place any cash on Phil to do well across the pond. Also, he just missed the cut at the Scottish Open.
Rory McIlroy -- 16/1
Ernie Els -- 18/1
Lee Westwood -- 18/1
Padraig Harrington -- 20/1
Graeme McDowell -- 25/1 -- I love that he is 25-to-1 now, and was 50-to-1 before Pebble. Lay money here and you hate money.
Justin Rose -- 25/1 -- I love this bet. Love everything about it. He is playing well, loves the British, and seems to be in a weirdly comfortable place, mentally.
Ian Poulter -- 28/1 -- If the bet was 28-to-1 on if he will dress like a moron, I'd take it. Not so much on him winning.
Steve Stricker -- 28/1
Paul Casey -- 28/1
Jim Furyk -- 33/1
Martin Kaymer -- 33/1
Luke Donald -- 33/1
Charl Schwartzel -- 33/1
Retief Goosen -- 33/1
Ross Fisher -- 33/1
Sergio Garcia -- 40/1
Adam Scott -- 40/1
Geoff Ogilvy -- 40/1

Anders Hansen -- 125/1
Lucas Glover -- 125/1
Oliver Wilson -- 125/1

Give me the Mechanic for 66-1 and Ricky Barnes at 80-1...

Why do you say that Tiger at 5/1 is a bad bet ? I'd say it's a bad bet just for the way he's been playing and expecting him to win is a longer shot than 5/1, but those odds are better than you've gotten for him in 14 years.

Court, the odds have improved, but they've always been way, WAY off. I wouldn't ever bet on Tiger with the numbers they give him, because they're always the worst number on the board.

Not now, not ever.
