That's right, folks, you can have your very own Augusta National green jacket all to yourself, without ever having to make a clutch putt on the 72nd hole at the Masters to do it!
According to the Augusta Chronicle, bidding for a green jacket worn by Bobby Jones will go on sale August 4. Expected retail price? 100,000 smakeroos, or roughly about an eighth of what you'd have to spend to bribe an Augusta member to get you on the grounds for an actual round.
But it's a cool idea. I'm sure some huge golf fan that has never been to the Masters ever will win this. Or, some rich guy that goes every year on his private jet and has played the course a half-dozen times. One of the two, I'm sure of it.
