Obviously the headline is tongue-and-cheek, but you could tell the crowds were rooting for Tom Watson. Hell, I think everyone but Cink's wife and passport-less kids were rooting for Watson.

I feel sorry for him, what a crap Major to win. You can't exactly dine out on being the guy who sneaked into a playoff with an old man who'd lead from pillar to post only to mug him as he was completely drained after four days of the best golf a 59 year old has ever played. He'll have to win another before anyone will think of him as a major champion.
