That would be awful ... with a capital "A". Seriously, it was one of the worst rounds we've seen from him in some time. He completely lost his swing on the back nine and went completely off the tracks on the par-3 16th hole. Following another poor tee shot, Woods drop-kicked his club in anger -- something you normally wouldn't do at Augusta National.
But I guess Tiger gets a pass. He's Tiger Woods, after all, and I doubt anybody's going to chastise him for his actions. He's now 3-over for the week and looks to be a non-factor on the weekend unless he produces a ridiculously low round on Saturday.

I don't care if he is Tiger Woods. That doesn't give him the right to throw a temper tantrum like a 5 year old. The one thing I always liked about golf was the professionalism and good conduct the players show. I think he should be penalized for very poor sportsmanship. He should definitley be chastised by the PGA.
I agree with Anonymous Mr. Woods has gone from one of the best things to happen for the game to one of the blemishes thats should be covered up. He is not bigger than the game and should act accordingly. people watch and love golf because it is an individual sport if you play poorly it is because of something you are or are not doing properly so you have no one else to blame just like if you are playing well no one else gets the crsdit grow up Mr. Woods and get over yourself. The game needs you talent but not your attitudes.

Woods grew up winning due to physical athleticism and his fathers patience.He developed superb mechanics and never went through thelearning frustrations of an adult since he was a child prodigy. Belatedly he is faced with learning again how to play but his immaturity handling disappointment results in anger,an impossible component on the golf course
Same GROWN-UP childish boy! Never learns, just tries to keep taking from his corporates that he stuck it to! It's not elrods fault, but corporates for putting him on display and mostly to nobody that really gives a damn anyway!
Want to watch a MAN, instead of a grown-up childish boy? Watch Fred! Go get a drink or bite to eat when corporate puts elrod on your BOOB TUBE! You won't see any childish action come out of Fred, he's got too much class!
Tiger has had so much publicity and is still getting it. Why?? I think he needs to take a good look at how he is showing sportsmanship to the younger generation.
This is at the same golf club that will not allow women golfers to join? They need more men like this to really be a good club

Tiger needs to re-evaluate, re-alize, re-spect and re-veal that he has a problem. Understand that he brought all of this on himself.

Let Tiger continue to play. Such behavior as anger is part of the game when a person is in an international sport competition like Masters. The guy just wants to play and win. Tiger makes the sport exciting! That reaction is common in sport competition. He can be discipline. The action was unmeditated. Tiger, good luck!!!
I've been playing golf since I was 7 years old. I am 51 now and still play when I can. I've never seen a golfer with so much talent and have such a piss poor attitude on the course as Tiger Woods has. I will say he has tremendous talent but the wrong attitude. All he is doing is showing the younger generation this is the way to play the game. He needs to watch videos of Bobby Jones, Arnold Palmer, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead and some of the other greats of the game. Golf is all about professionalism and self discipline, like Freddie Coulpes and Phil Mikelson have. But I think he should be penalized for kicking his clubs like its the clubs fault he screwed up. Everyone has there ups and downs... We have all have been there, and played kinda poorly, but when you hold in your frustration in so long, there is a point when a tantrum is necessary... Its called "venting".

Well nobody's perfect but you don't see other players out there throwing fits because their not on their game. That's where he should practice self discipline. He may not be perfect but he is classified as a professional so act like one!!!!!!!!!

I can't ever remember any one cussing or throwing clubs and I've played over a thousand times and over 50 courses.
But I must say this the most boring god d am masters I have ever fucckiing seen.
As a golfer of many years, I learned quite early that anger and temper tantrums have no place on a golf course. In displaying such, all one ends up with is a disjointed game and a lack of respect from one's peer group.
There have been hundreds of temper tantrums on the golf course. Because Tiger kicks a golf club it makes the news.. give him and all of us a break with this nonsense. After all he only human.
It is showing the real tiger...he always was about only tiger. Never a real roll model, rude, self absorbed and self centered. The only thing I want to say to tiger is FIX YOUR FACE THE POUTING IS CHILD LIKE. Be a MAN...take some lessons from maybe Phil M. or then again almost anyone......
I strongly believe he should be penalized for his unsportsmen like conduct on the course during play. Not only did he kick his club but also utered profanity loud enough for the tee mics to pick it up. The PGA needs to address these issues now!

Temper tantrums have no place on a golf course. Especially Augusta National while playing in the Masters. What a terrible role model he is. He is not bigger than the game of golf. Why is it that he hasn't been disciplined by Augusta Golf Club or the PGA ? His behaviour was shameful.
His current behavior is nothing new, he has been doing it for years. The only difference is now people are now viewing him as he really is...a self absorbed SOB. He was never the complete player as Jack (talent, sportmanship, courtesy, respect for the game. More importantly... respect for his family, fellow competitors, and fans) and never will. If you are waiting for him to change, it will never happen. He thinks his behavior is perfectly fine as noted by all his comments.
I think the country club should talk to Tiger after the tornament and tell him he needs to act like a professional or he will not be allowed to participate in future Master's Tournaments
Careful, if you are critical of anyone who looks like the President you will be branded a hater and a racist. Regardless the behaviour of the man, hooded or not.
Its such a shame that someone with that much talent, will probably never dominate the game like he once did. It's shameful what he did, kicking his club like that. I hope the PGA Tour and Augusta National fines him enough. What does this say to the new generation? Its not okay to lose your temper like that. Earl Woods is rolling in his grave. Its too bad. My boy Phil lost out, but it was great to see Bubba pull it throuh. WELL DESERVED!!!
