Has Anyone EVER Been 3-Under After One Hole?
That isn't some random question, I'm being serious - has that ever happened, ever, because it did Thursday at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Alex Cejka, on the 10th hole of Monterey Peninsula Country Club made a double-eagle. It was his first hole of the day. He was 3-under through one.
Now, a contest for anyone willing to do it ... find out if this has ever happened, EVER. I'm sure it hasn't, but I'd be interested to know. Has anyone ever gone albatross hunting on the first hole of a round, and/or the first hole of a tournament?
Because, honestly, would there be a better feeling than walking down your second fairway of the day, seeing a friend in the other fairway, and doing the three-low finger sign? "Yep, three-under through one, bro. Not bad."
