Those AP Writers are So Silly, Part Two

This is a line from the story about how the FedEx Cup is struggling and everyone hates it and Vijay Singh won't respond to interview requests and how golf might die.

Concerning the Tour Championship --

The Tour Championship will only have one major winner — Masters champion Trevor Immelman — in its 30-man field. And that's assuming all 30 guys show up. Don't be surprised if Phil Mickelson suddenly realizes there's a PTA meeting he can't afford to miss that week.

I actually really did enjoy that line. Mickelson will sketch out on this, no doubt in my mind, especially if he continues his abysmal play in the Ryder Cup. I might have gone with "sale at In-N-Out burger" or "competing in a smiles-per-minute contest" but the PTA line was great.

Does Anyone Rock The Golf Gear Better Than Samuel L. Jackson?

Pretty interesting, last night a buddy and I were sitting around my mansion apartment and Samuel L. Jackson came on for a movie preview. I asked him to take a guess at how many movies, since 2005, Jackson had been in (including the ones on the slate right now). He guessed 15, I guessed 20, and it turns out that since '05, our boy has been in or will be in a whopping 25 movies! All that and the man still finds time to sport his clothes around the links.

Polite Applause has put together his ten best outfits and they are just like you imagined.
